Many of the creeks and rivers in the area utilized "low water" bridges to ford the streams. When the water ran deep, you drove father to cross at a bridge. When the water ran low, you could enjoy a dip in the cool water or as we often did, wash our Grandfathers pickup truck -- it was the only time the little fella ever got a bath to wash off the red clay dust.Stuck, washing, or just enjoying the stream.
